Do I Need an AA Sponsor?

And what does AA Sponsorship Look Like?

Hi everybody, I hope you’re enjoying your day and have been able to stay sober today. I have, and for that I’m truly grateful.

It has been quite a tiring week if I’m honest. My wife is working round the clock and I’m taking on homeschooling duties for my son. He’s 14 and has Asperger’s, so it’s not without its challenges. It is bringing us closer together though, and I’m learning how to be there for him. Acceptance, right?

This Week’s Video

I talked about sponsorship in the AA setting. It’s an important topic and one that I feel could be really helpful. I hope you get something out of it.

It’s not public until 5pm on Saturday UK time, but I thought I would let my newsletter readers get a sneak peak as a wee bonus.

This Week’s Podcast

I covered the topic of Zoom AA meetings this week. I had a bit of an audio glitch, so the quality isn’t quite as good as it normally is, but I think the content is still valuable, so I shared it anyway.

Zoom AA Meetings are Weird!

Incidentally, I’ve taken to live streaming my podcast recording on YouTube, Twitter and my Facebook Page. If you’d like to get a notification when I’m going live, be sure to follow me on your platform of choice and you can join me on the beach. There’s always a before-and-after bit of banter and I respond to comments as they come in. It’s really fun.

Some Tweets

If you’re struggling, follow the hashtag #recoveryposse on Twitter. Here’s an example of the love.

A lovely message of hope.

Stay safe and sane everyone. If you feel like sharing your length of sobriety, just reply to this email and tell me your number. I love getting messages like that!
