I Live through Art - Creation and Enjoyment, Nourishment, Connnection.

I loved discovering that quotation from Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment right after I'd been pondering the question of seeking human connection vs wanting to avoid EVERYONE AT ALL COSTS in my Morning Pages.
Literature has answers, I've always believed that. Art expresses big questions and can help us find ourselves, whether that's through enjoying art created by others or through expressing ourselves in our own creations.
If you're curious who the pianist is in my thumbnail, it's Víkingur Ólafsson's Tiny Desk Concert.
The Keep Talking quotation is from Stephen Hawking, which I learned from its being used in Pink Floyd's Keep Talking.
More food for thought!! Hmmm. I'm reminded of the rare times I take Uber and I really put forth the effort to chat with my driver. Usually it blossoms into quite the conversation (once I learned that my driver is a poet in his spare time!) And I always feel so nourished afterward. I'm more of an introvert, so the process is super awkward, but the rewards are sweet! Perhaps these types of practices—chitchat with strangers—help us break down those barriers, show that strangers are "safe" and just going out their day like we do!
