I totally get this Cams. We have very similar hobbies and I’m in a reading phase too, so the guitar seems to stay in the case. Managed to get 30 minutes to play yesterday though and loved it. I’ve got two young daughters so time is at a real premium. Reading can be done at night and quietly so I think that’s the reason for me focusing on that at the moment.
I desperately want to get back to playing and writing music again, but maybe rushing it would be a mistake too. I think the amount you’re managing to read is a huge win!

Thanks for the support Gary. I played for half an hour today and it felt good. I know I can be a bit hard on myself sometimes.
